That's the scariest thing a parent can say. CPS will come in. They're invasive. They'll go talk to your kids at school. They'll want to talk to you if you're in a CPS investigation. The best thing to do is get an attorney before you talk to anyone. I don't want you talking to investigators. Police officers talk to no one until you have an attorney.
So if you're in that situation, hire someone experienced in handling CPS cases.
